The 2023 Myth and Theatre Festival is fast approaching and its theme, FETISH, is turning out to be not only fascinatingly complex, but critically key to artistic and political issues today.
The Festival was created in 1987, under the presidency of James Hillman,, in order to interweave performance theory and practice. This year, it invites you to (re)consider the value and agency of the FETISH when considered (as we do) as a gesture or object of affect, of MAGICAL SYMPATHY, lodged at the heart of the performative act.
