First Magdalena Meeting in Curitiba, PR, from 13th to 18th of December.
Registration open soon!
Alfaiataria, an arts space located in Curitiba, PR, proudly launches the first edition of the International Meeting of Women on Stage - REVERBE. This is an Encounter linked to The Magdalena Project network - a worldwide network of women in theater - which has existed for over 30 years with festivals, meetings, seminars on all continents. The first edition in Curitiba is conceived and produced by Janaina Matter and Greice Barros, who signed the curatorship of this edition together with Stela Fisher (PR) and Naná Sodré (PE). The meeting team, including the technical team, is mostly composed of women.
In this first edition, we appropriate the word REVERBE (reverberate) as a provocation, a theme, an invention, to reflect on what is happening at this moment in our bodies and artistic works, to understand how what goes through us reverberates in our actions and also how our poetics can reverberate outwards, creating networks in resonance and expanding the possibilities of reach.
Reverberar could also be to reverbalize, as a way of rethinking and translating discourses, giving new names to sensations, our behaviors, who we are and how we define ourselves.
The Meeting will take place from December 13th to 18th in Curitiba and will feature a versatile program with works designed, produced and performed by women from Brazil and the world!!!!
The idea is that participants and guests remain throughout the duration of the meeting, following all the actions and sharing meals, as a way of stimulating exchange and strengthening the networks. The program features shows, public speaking and parallel actions - curated by artist Luana Navarro - free of charge and open to the general public. Other actions such as workshops, conversation tables, opening soiree and coexistence at meals and accommodation (for those coming from outside Curitiba) will be exclusive to participants who register through the link for an immersive 4-day experience, characteristic of festivals connected to the Magdalena Network.
Registered participants will also be able to share some of their work in the "Participants' Exhibition", indicating this interest in the registration form.
