On the 3rd of December 2021, the association Transit Next Forum - Theatre and Women was created In Holstebro, Denmark, with the purpose of giving opportunities for women in theatre and increase the awareness of women's contribution to contemporary theatre. From the 3rd to the 12th of June 2022, Transit Next Forum organised the 10th edition of the Festival at Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium-Odin Teatret, Holstebro, Denmark. The theme of Transit 10 Festival was The Splendour of the Ages - Theatre, Women, Courage. About one hundred women from all over the world took part as invited guests, participants and volunteers.
Transit Next Forum is the framework for future Transit festivals to happen following the tradition established in 1992 with the first Transit Festival maintaining a continuity of activities in connection with The Magdalena Project network in Denmark and abroad. This will be done by holding an international theatre festival for and with women every three years (the next Transit Festival is planned for 2025); organising lectures, publications, workshops, performances, meetings, cultural, artistic and debate-creating events (Transit meetings and workshops for 2023 will be announced soon); disseminating knowledge, the exchange of experiences and the promotion of contacts and opportunities for women working with theatre also in isolated conditions (Julia Varley will perform, give lectures and workshops in Argentina, Spain, Brasil, Mexico, India, Italy, and more).
The association welcomes members to contribute with ideas, dreams and demands. Those who want to be members of Transit Next Forum for 2023 and in this or other way support the association can write to info@transitforum.dk for information or consult www.transitforum.dk.
The membership fee for a year is Danish Kroner 150 or Euro 20. This membership fee can be paid through the Donorbox on Transit Next Forum’s website www.transitforum.dk.The members will be kept informed of all planned activities and can participate in the yearly general assembly (the general assembly in 2023 will be held 14th March at 5 pm Danish time).

Il 3 Dicembre 2021 è stata creata a Holstebro, Danimarca, l’associazione Transit Next Forum - Theatre and Women con il proposito di dare più opportunità alle donne di teatro e più riconoscimento al contributo delle donne nel teatro contemporaneo. Dal 3 al 12 giugno 2022 Transit Next Forum ha organizzato la 10° edizione del Transit Festival, presso il Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium-Odin Teatret, Holstebro, Danimarca. Il tema del Transit 10 Festival era Lo Splendore delle età - Teatro, Donne, Coraggio. Più di cento donne da tutto il mondo, tra invitate, partecipanti e volontarie, hanno preso parte a questo evento.
Transit Next Forum sarà l’organizzatore dei futuri festival di Transit, continuando la tradizione iniziata nel 1992 con il primo Transit Festival e mantenendo le attività legate alla rete del Magdalena Project in Danimarca e all'estero. Questo avverrà realizzando un festival internazionale di teatro per le donne e fatto dalle donne ogni tre anni (il prossimo Transit Festival è previsto per il 2025); organizzando conferenze, pubblicazioni, seminari, spettacoli, incontri culturali e artistici, creando dibattiti (gli incontri e i seminari di Transit per il 2023 saranno comunicati presto); e svolgendo anche attività di diffusione del sapere, scambio di esperienze, contatti e opportunità per le donne di teatro (ad esempio Julia Varley farà spettacoli, conferenze e seminari in Argentina, Spagna, Brasile, Messico, India, Italia e in altri luoghi ancora).
Sono benvenute idee, sogni e richieste da tutte le persone che sono e faranno parte dell’associazione.

La quota per associarsi è di 20 euro l’anno. Questa quota può essere corrisposta attraverso Donorbox nel sito Transit Next Forum www.transitforum.dk. Le associate saranno informate di tutte le attività in programma e potranno partecipare all’assemblea generale (la prossima assemblea generale si terrà il 14 marzo 2023 alle 17:00 ora danese).
