Mobilise/Demobilise video documentation

Video documentation from the Mobilise/Demobilise festival, held online in October, is now published at https://mobilise-demobilise.eu/

Mobilise/Demobilise is a critical and artistic response to a world of increasing conflict, crisis and emergency, explored through a series of online performances. It is an artistic collaboration between Teater InterAkt (Sweden), Schaumbad - Freies Atelierhaus Graz (Austria), the Centre for the Cultivation of Technology (Germany) and UpStage (global), funded by Creative Europe.

The festival, which also launched the rebuilt UpStage platform, featured three cyberformances: "Go Go Go" by Schaumbad; "ReMove" by Teater InterAkt; and "Repose" by Vicki Smith and collaborators (Aotearoa New Zealand). Works-in-progress of these performances were shown at Bodies:On:Live in June. The video also shows some of the research and development, and has been edited by Suzon Fuks.

The new UpStage is now live and beautiful; in February we will restart open walkthroughs - online sessions for interested people to learn how to use the platform. More info: https://upstage.org.nz/?event=open-walkthrough-6

The project has been a lot of fun so far and has attracted a really great team of collaborators, including a 50% female software development team, and largely female artistic team, led by Helen Varley Jamieson.

Mobilise/Demobilise continues throughout 2022, so there will be more opportunities to see the performances live; & UpStage is there for other artists to use for their own projects as well.
