Magdalena Festival – Albi

Magdalena Festival – Albi
September 26–28, 2025
Maison de Quartier Cantepau – Albi
The Magdalena Festival returns in 2025 with a powerful new edition celebrating women artists, researchers, and stage practitioners. Over the course of three days, the festival invites audiences to explore bold, poetic, and engaged artistic work through performances, workshops, exhibitions, and conversations.
Key moments of the festival include:
-
A three-day intensive workshop, “Elastic Body – Expressive Choir”, led by Viviana Bovino and Silvia Moreno. Silvia Moreno is a Spanish actress, director, and educator known for her work in physical theatre and ensemble creation. Together, they will guide participants in exploring body awareness, expression, and the notion of “being connected” in collective stage action.
-
A round table titled “Don’t Stay Hungry…!”, which will reflect on the essential role of artistic expression in times of crisis, and the necessity for women artists to take risks, voice their desires, and reinvent forms of resistance.
-
A vibrant opening evening featuring multidisciplinary performances by Vendalv, Nâm, and CaVaLuNa, blending dance, theatre, music, storytelling, and clowning.
-
A visual art exhibition by women artists and artisans, running throughout the festival.
-
The intimate and poetic documentary theatre piece, “The Daughters of the Wind” by CaVaLuNa, staged in an unusual location in Albi.
-
And a festive DJ night to end the evening in movement and celebration (lineup to be announced).
Rooted in dialogue, creation, and collective energy, the Magdalena Festival invites everyone to step inside and outside the stage—to imagine, speak out, and connect.
