I am writing on behalf of the San Francisco based Theatre of Yugen. We will be touring our award nominated production of Cordelia (http://theatreofyugen.org/?spec=55) to New York City this November. Told through the form of a “phantasmal Noh warrior play,” it is to be performed as part of Erik Ehn’s epic Soulographie project. (For more information please visit www.soulographie.org/).
While on the East Coast, Senior Company Members Sheila Berotti, Lluis Valls, and myself will be available for workshops and performances in our signature theatrical style. We also are offering a selection of Kyogen performed in English; Master classes in the fundamentals and principles of Nohgaku, geared towards the beginner as well as the contemporary theatre maker and lecture-demonstrations rooted in our fusion of Noh and Kyogen with literary and dramatic classics.
