i'm looking through the list of things & other magnetics posts to see what issues we might be able to solve during the upgrade process. here is a summary:
- images: the current method of uploading and inserting images is cumbersome & doesn't work properly, e.g. you set it to align left or right in the pop-up window but it doesn't do this in the page, you have to do it again manually; & we have to reupload event logo images every time, when there are multiple events with the same logo. & we need a good slideshow display for the gallery pages - at the moment you click on a thumbnail & it opens that image in a new page, then you have to go back to view the next one.
- groups: generally needs tidying up, according to the things in the list of things
- translation: issue of posts showing up multiple times, & not showing up in calendars if not translated
- posting: the preview function doesn't work, & for ordinary members there is no possibility for saving a draft; if i save something as not published, then the only place i can later find it is in the content list. it would be good if draft posts showed up on people's own profile pages (for them to see only).
- notifications: we can't keep using this module in D7 & anyway it doesn't function well for this site. maybe there's another module we can use, or it can be incorporated into our better email newsletter system ... ?
- logged-in welcome page: this could be a lot more interesting & useful, perhaps showing lists of latest posts in various categories?
