ANET Festival: Belgrade, Yugoslavia,
December 2002
In Belgrade, a group of eight performers dressed
in red lead the audience from the theatre (Rex Cultural Centre)
to locations in the snowy streets, where they performed texts
and movement sequences that had been devised over a four-day workshop.
The audience followed maps to visit each performer at their location,
then returned to the theatre with items they had found on their
journey to add to an altar of imagery. Original music was provided
by three musicians, and a series of slides projected onto a wall
gave a glimpse of the devising process and provided facts, thoughts
and statements about water and war.
More photos of the process
and performance.
