Summer Intensive Workshop - July 6th-17th, 2009
Introduction Course in Dramatic Corporeal Mime and Physical Theatre
For the 6th consecutive year, MOVEO offers a 40 hours Summer Intensive Course in Barcelona.
This course will focus on the study of the basic principles of corporeal mime and its methods, and the corporeal resources that allow the interpreter to put their body at the service of their imagination.
The course is open to dance and drama students, professional actors and dancers, to anyone who wants to approach physical theater through the study of Etienne Decroux's Dramatic Corporeal Mime.
In our workshops, we have been welcoming students from more than 10 different countries. Our work is centred on each individual student’s level. No previous experience is required; all we ask for is motivation and a desire to work.

MOVEO TRAINING:
Since its creation, the school has welcomed actors of more than twenty-seven different countries. Through the study of a clear corporeal technique, the interpretation of pieces created by Etienne Decroux, its assistants or the members of Moveo Teatro, as well as the study of different improvisation techniques and the creation of shows, the students of the school learn to control their corporal and scenic space. Thus the body can be at the service of their imagination, be situated in the centre of the drama, and the actor or actress can put him- or herself at the centre of the theatrical creation.
