Magdalena Chile 2012, Starting Point is the first Magdalena Festival to be held in Chile. It's inspired and motivated on the strength of the network and the energy of every women within.

It willl take place in the city of Santiago. Here, we extend our arms to embrace two cultural centers, La Palomera Theatre and the Museo de la Memoria. The program includes workshops, conferences work demonstrations and performances.

We named Starting Point quoting Cristina Castrillo. The starting point, just before the action, is where the energy is fully concentrated and our awareness is in constant present. As a crouching cat we are ready to make this festival happen and receive you in our home. From here we want to research and reveal the various starting points as practioners and scholars of the performing arts. 

We also want to open a window for sharing, communicating and creating together, as we continue what the Magdalenas have done and include Chile actively in the network. This festival is meant to be reciprocally an offering for the Magdalenas and a gift for our community, not only for women but all performing arts profesionals, students and everyone who is willing to be part of this experience.
